Graphite battery backstop – mounted on the layshaft bulkhead – prevents batteries from moving after a hard crash. Adjustability depends on the position of the batteries installed in the car. The rear graphite battery backstop can be replaced with an optional brass battery backstop #309855 which helps to keep weight in the center of the car.
